Chanukah and winter vacation are behind us.
Time to get back on track with the myriad of things that go on in our lives
We can quickly fall into a rut of never ending things to do, people to take care of, errands to run, work, extended family etc. etc.
Where are we supposed to find the time and energy to enjoy life?
How can you fit in couple time when you can barely find a moment to spare?

Ideally we should have approximately one third of our time at work, a third sleeping and the last third on other stuff. (I wonder if they ever met a frum women?)
A study was done and they found that most people did have a good balance when you looked at how they spent the hours in their day, but said they did not have good work/life balance. The researchers found that interesting.
Most people have a good work-life balance but do not feel like they do!
What they found was that the experience of moving forward in the different areas of your life was more important than the time you spent on each area.
Brendon Burchard suggests a short exercise that helps you keep your focus on all areas of your life, giving you the feeling of having a well-balanced life. When I can across it I got so excited at how simple yet profound this exercise is, and once you set it up, it literally takes a few minutes a week, but the effect it has on you is much larger.
Step 1: Write down the different main areas of your life*
Step 2: Rate how you feel you’re doing in each area on a scale of 1-10
Step 3: Rate yourself every week at about the same time.
What we focus on grows and the few minutes a week that you spend rating yourself on the different areas of your life, help’s you recalibrate, and can create and a major shift in how your feel your coping in your life. Like in most things, it’s the quality not the quantity that counts. If your one of those people rating doesn't work for, just ask yourself how you did in each area.
I’ve created this PDF for you with this powerful exercise to help make it easy for you to check in and stay focused on what’s important to you and enjoy a quality of life that is within your reach. That way you can have joy and energy to get done what you need and want to get done. Like spending a quality moment connecting to your husband!
Hatzlacha in making this winter a time of joy and productivity in making your dreams come true.
